I’ll bet you use tomato paste. And why wouldn’t you? It’s thick tomatoey goodness in a can, and the glorious undertone of many a tasty dish. The thing is, how can you get all that #(%&#% out of the can with your patience intact with minimal waste? Sweet tomato paste, isn’t there a quick and easy way to do it?
Let me make your life easier, pumpkin.

Take your can opener, whip that can into submission and get all that paste out in one piece:
Cut one end off, and discard it.
Flip that can over, and cut off the other top, leaving it in place on top.
Then, using that last “lid”, push that paste out like a sliding popsicle.
It should slide out in one glorious lump of tomatoey goodness.
Bonus tip: Only need part of the can for your recipe? Save the rest using the ice cube tray method.
You’re welcome. Now go recycle that can. Seriously.
